Web Geeks Annual Social Event is March 4th

After taking a month long break it’s time to kick off a new year of Web Geeks events and we’re going to begin, as we always do, with our annual social event. If you’ve never been to a web geeks event, this is the time to come. There will be four speakers doing short 15-20 minute presentations, there will be food and there will be prizes! Yes, prizes! An iPad, some Think Geek gear and more! In the next week this blog post will be updated with details about speakers as we lock down all the details, but you can count on a variety of topics from social media, to front end development, system/network auto-configuration and the business of the web.

What you need to know for now is that the event will be Monday March 4th at 6:30pm at Goodsmith’s in Valley Junction. PLEASE RSVP, it greatly helps us plan for how much food to buy. You can respond by leaving a comment here on the blog post or on our Facebook event page.

ALSO, (notice it is a big ALSO) have you done something cool this last year you’d like to share? We’d love to have a few five minute lightning talks where you can show off a project, talk about a new tool or tell why a new technology is going to be the next big thing. If you want to do a lightening talk, be sure to let us know. It is very informal and local geeks love to see what others are doing.

RSVP now, leave a comment or sign up on our Facebook event.
